"Meet five homeless teenagers who live with their families under squalid conditions at the rundown El Dorado Motel in Anaheim, California. These youth deal daily with gang violence, drugs and prostitution, while city officials do nothing to rectify their plight. They tell their stories in a series of vignettes, painting a picture of the struggle to survive, living in the shadow of Disneyland, the Happiest Place on Earth. Yet, they still share their dreams, reminding us that hope springs eternal, even under the harshest conditions. Written by Southern California writer, Jose Casas, and directed by tony sanders, Founder and Artistic Director of Shine! Theatre, recognized by the American Alliance of Theaters and Educators in 2010 as the Most Outstanding New Children's Theater Company in America."
