The Center of the Labyrinth is the story of my grown son's death from a drug overdose over ten years ago. It follows my struggles, transformation and spiritual deepening as I integrated the grief and found a new life. I walked the labyrinth at Grace Cathedral as a tool of introspection. The piece touches on themes of death, motherhood, addiction, grief, shame, guilt, self-acceptance and transcendence.
Through the lens of my idiosyncratic story I hope to shed light on finding new depth in life by "showing up" for the tragedies and loss that come to all human beings.
