Ashes to Ashes: A Tragicomedy

Like the phoenix, local performer and theatre arts educator Kate McKnight rises from
the ashes once again to share the good, the bad and the ugly. With her parents’ deaths
bookending a period of perpetual change– some triumphs and happy times, some
disappointment and heartache– a choice revealed itself: either flourish or perish.
(Maybe not so dramatic as that, but pretty darn close.) There’s a twist to this
storytelling/solo performance; this time she’s got a musical Greek chorus of sorts.
Joining Kate will be her sister Sarah Serafimidis (vocals/guitar) and her friend Abigail
Nolte (vocals/guitar) who will sing pop and rock lyrics, interjecting musically with Kate’s
inner thoughts, a summary of her life experience, and thematic earworms that often
drive a person crazy.
