ABOUT ABOUT

The true, tell-all tale of two unicycle-riding/fire-eating/guitar-playing/rubber chicken-juggling San Francisco street performers (aka The High Street Circus) in a live, one-man, musical, digital storytelling show.

Oh... and it's about chasing your dreams, too.

2014 Reviews:

"Juggling fire, riding a unicycle, living in a beer tank and eating raw eggs--these are just a few of the stops on The Road to High Street. Andrew Potter's solo performance about his experiences as a street performer is a warm, informal and amusing divulgence. He plays guitar, recounts stories of his travels and synchronizes this with various multi-media clips. At the end of the show, I felt as though I had just spent an hour hearing fascinating insights from my favorite American studies professor.

The Road to High Street is a captivating show featuring the voice of a true performer. This is a rare and compelling piece.  Although it is a one-man show, Potter focuses on collaboration and celebrates other street performers. Best of all, he makes the audience feel as if they are also part of his atypical and entertaining voyage. Unwind and travel along The Road to High Street."

"For a little home-brewed, laid-back conversational, and oh-so compelling storyteller's journey as a street performer, Andrew Potter juggles the art of sharing home movies, giving it all a 21st century shine.  The truth is that the video footage captures Potter in those days looking goofily handsome in his tuxedo and flashing a winning smile.  But even more than that, he and Cole in those snapshots and videos just seem to be having so much fun.  To hear Potter tell it, they were always inventing, always learning how to make their performance a little bit better, and always staying open to the next adventure. What's in your blood? Come on down and get some inspiration from Andrew Potter. He really delivers a road (map) to everyone's High Street."
